Short little trip over to the Tar Pits to see random public sculptures and a hanging melon walkway. Lots of statues and a collection of bones that have been cleaned and put on display. Most of the animals pulled out of the tar are either saber-tooth cats, mammoths, wolves, or some sort of bird. Nothing was happening in the “Fishbowl” but, we did get to see where Mike from Dirty Jobs visited! All in all, was a good day.

Pictures in the break.

Over the weekend I tried substituting out some mods for WoW that were either no longer useful or had better versions. Here’s a semi-complete list of what’s being used. Also, a short description of what was dropped and what took it’s place. Previous total CPU & memory usage ran from about 80 to upwards of 115 megs pre-401 to now running at around 25 megs before default UI settings. Total addons+Blizzard average around 35 megs.

What Is It?

This handy little app allows you to have a single spot for all your trip’s reservations.

You DO need a TripIt account to use the app, but at least it is free.

Also, the account you register with needs to be the email address you have reservations sent to.

Patch 4.0.1 is arriving tomorrow, bringing with it massive changes to BM hunters and our pets. We often see some slight changes going from PTR to live, so we won’t know for certain how our hunter changes will look until patch 4.0.1 goes live. However, based on what we know now, here is my fever-addled brain’s best recommendation for 4.0.1 BM hunter talents, BM new focus-based rotation, and BM  glyphs.

I will, of course, be reviewing and updating all this information once I have a chance to test everything on live!

Tuesday, October 12, 2010…..

Patch 4.0.1 hits live WoW servers.

Mass confusion everywhere, dogs sleeping with cats, type of stuff.

This will be one of the final patches before the 3rd expansion pack is released on 12.7.2010.

In true Blizzard fashion…expect the servers to be down ALL day.

I’ve recently decided that I need something else to do with my site, content, items, random crap that I stored up and none of it was useful any longer. Many articles I’ve written were out-dated, guides were blasted to multiple different sites, items tagged as random other topics….this and much more.

Enter a new site under my own name.

I’m slowly moving content, articles, etc. from multiple old sites into this one, and this will be the main launch-pad, so-to-speak. Many of my previous articles have no dates on them so if there is something I’m moving over, then the dates are being reset to Jan 1, 2010.

Anyway, the move and consolidation begins.
