If you have a PS3 running version 3.55 there’s currently no way to JB the system other than to downgrade to a different FW, however doing so will disable blu-ray support….Until Now…

For now, GeoHot gives us the only real way to JB a 3.55 PS3…however, it appears now that he’s under watch and has been served papers by SCEA (Sony) and his site is down. Fortunately for us, David S. Touretzky of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA has stepped in to help fight the power that is Sony. Mr. Touretzky is well known in freedom of information circles and was greatly involved in the DVD DeCSS case (DeCSS allows us to copy DVDs or to rip them to portable, digital media).

Because I can’t keep track of everything that I find, use, like, disable but want later…I decided to try to write them all down in a post to keep some sort of list going. Here’s a listing of all of the WordPress Plugins that I use, like, recommend, etc.

LA in Cali and off to Vegas…how fun!

After landing at LAX, we took a trip out to Glendale where I was treated to a new haircut and the royal shave at The Art of Shaving; worth every penny! After wards, headed back home and chilled out to get ready for the next couple of days….BlizzCon 2010!

Check the links above to see more specific stuff about the days above, but here’s the general rundown.

After lunch with family and friends, we bummed around town until we ended up at Dorian and Andrew’s house that night for a trip to West Hollywood. We went to the Carnival. We had no idea what we were in for that night.

After coming back from Vegas, we took a trip over to Simi Valley to visit the Ronald Reagan Library. It was a pretty easy drive out there, and many of the houses look very expensive, but oh so beautiful.

Be patient, lots of pictures may cause a slow page load.

Our Wednesday in Vegas started off with a trip to the Hoover Dam. It was pretty interesting. We opted for the full tour into the dam and power plant. On the tour, they took us half-way down the dam, down to an opening that would let us take pictures over the river. It was pretty crazy to see the water being so low; in the pictures below, you might be able to see the rock-cliffs and then it suddenly turns white, that’s the water level at its highest point, but now it’s pretty low. We also took pictures of the 2-state area where you could be in two states at the same time: Nevada and Arizona.

See what happens next after the jump.

To celebrate getting engaged the night before, I decided to jump off the top of the Stratosphere at the North end of the Vegas Strip.

855 feet up in the air, on the 108th floor.

You step off into nothing, and free fall at about 57 feet per second.
